Huge explosion reported in Kabul, Afghanistan

Just heard it now a large explosion was reported in Kabul; Rpports unclear of the source but area blasted reported to have taken place near the diplomatic center in the city.

No word yet on the cause of the explosion but only that it rocked a large portion of the City shattering windows and causing widespread panic in some parts of the capital which has mostly been relatively calm.

I came of the news in a strange way - a chatroom I visit had a Aid worker based in afghanistan who says he can see smoke and hear sirens. A little while later he said locals had told him to stay indoors and some roadblocks were in effect in the diplomatic area as a precaution.

People who live with terror bombings in Al Qaeda influenced areas know one blast is often followed by secondary attacks to go after first responders.
