"The move is made to answer the clamor of the military that captured leaders of the communist movement easily get out of jail due to the absence of a warrant of arrest and the help of their lawyers," National Security Adviser Norberto Gonzales said. "

Nice try... every little bit helps to restore peace.
But where lawyers could do the most good really... is in fighting injustice that often leads to those who chose the lawless path when justice fails... maybe thats what they have in mind.
